Friar Rush is a Sydney progressive metal band that was formed in 2003 by Brockbank. The band’s early line-up featured Najdek from [[Switchblade]] and Peric from [[Infernal Method]] (Peric replaced, and was then replaced by Madden); however, both have since left the band. Brockbank added some backing vocals to '''Infernal Method’s''' ''Architecture of Instinct'' album.

Rob Bisset joined the group after this was completed. During 2007, Friar Rush began work on a second album but this has also never been released.
