Band information

Friar Rush is a Sydney progressive metal band that was formed in 2003 by Brockbank. The band’s early line-up featured Najdek from Switchblade and Peric from Infernal Method (Peric replaced, and was then replaced by Madden). Brockbank added some backing vocals to Infernal Method’s Architecture of Instinct album.

The album Alauda Sonare Suavis was recorded in 2006 but does not appear to have yet been released. Rob Bisset joined the group after this was completed. During 2007, Friar Rush began work on a second album. Toward the end of the year Kirin Han, who had replaced Najdek, left and Najdek returned to the line-up.
