Templestowe was a melodic progressive death metal band from Canberra. In mid 2007 the band released a self-titled demo that received widespread acclaim.  


===Formed===
In late 2008 the band recruited mixer/engineer Scott Carter to record their debut album ''Cimmerian''. Set for release in October 2009 the album features additional engineering by Mark Lewis ('''The Black Dahlia Murder''', '''Job for a Cowboy''') and mastering by Goran Finnberg ('''Opeth, In Flames, Soilwork''').

After a slew of hi-profile supports in early 2009 including '''Whitechapel''', [[Psycroptic]] and [[The Berzerker]] vocalist Andy Annand departed the band. His replacement was Jon Hocking (formerly of US grind band '''Vein of Lunacy''').
