Band information
Gravemind is a Melbourne deathcore band. Joshua Renjen and Anthony Pallas were from Drown This City and Dylan Gillies-Parsons and Damon Bredon came from Opposer. Their 2015 debut EP featured guest appearances by CJ McMahon from Thy Art is Murder and Aversions Crown vocalist Mark Poida. Former Opposer guitarist Aden Young joined the band in time for their second EP, The Deathgate. Echo, which was released as a single, featured guest vocals by Aidan Ellaz of Alpha Wolf. That band's drummer Mitchell Fogarty provided drums for the next single, Lifelike in 2018 after the departure of Pallas. Renjan also left the band and guitarist Michael Petritsch took on the bass role. Karl Steller (Boris the Blade) joined Gravemind soon after and their 2019 album Conduit peaked at #30 on the ARIA albums chart. In the wake of that success, the band played on tours by August Burns Red, In Hearts Wake, Northlane and Thy Art is Murder.
Named on the line-up for 2022's Unify Gathering, Gravemind released a new single, Deathtouch, in March 2022, their first as a four piece with new vocalist Bailey Schembri.
