Band information
Featuring members of Insidious Torture and A Million Dead Birds Laughing, Whoretopsy is a Melbourne death metal band formed in 2011 by AJ and Matt Storma. They Did Unspeakable Things was recorded using a drum machine but Matt Giles joined soon after. They opened for Dying Fetus and Putrid Pile in May 2013. Following that, Jake Sproule of The Seraphim Veil joined as the band's drummer and AJ departed, leaving Whoretopsy as a four piece until the following year when Chris Paras and Brenton Marsh (also of The Seraphim Veil) were added to the line-up. By now Whoretopsy had become a slightly more technical, thrashy death metal band. After the While You Were Sleeping EP the line-up changed further with Ryan Frost replacing Lachlan Eddy and William Cooper taking over from Brenton Marsh. Cooper and Frost only remained for a short time as Eddy returned and Luke Graham joined. In April 2017, Whoretopsy featured at Blacken Open Air and toured with the Thrash, Blast Grind tour. The following year Storma departed and Zac Bergholtz took over on vocals for Take My Breath Away.
