Band Information
Founded by Che deBoehmler following the demise of Spawn, The Veil are a dark atmospheric Sydney band drawing on elements of doom, post-punk/goth, black metal & early 90s death metal.
Some early live performances of note included a Sydney support with Alchemist in late 2007, and an appearance with Nazxul as the main support for their Iconoclast album launch in October 2009.
The Veil's debut international support came in October 2011, joining Alcest for the Sydney date of their Australian tour. The band's debut album "Ghosts of Memory" was released soon after in November 2011, receiving strong reviews both locally and overseas.
In 2012, The Veil made their first international live appearance at Dublin Doom Days fest in Ireland, appearing alongside Pantheist, Solstice, Hour Of 13 and The Wounded Kings among others.
Work on the band's second album "Impermanence", recorded with producer/engineer Lachlan Mitchell, is in its final stages, with a release due in the second half of 2014.
