Band information
Claim the Throne is a Perth band that plays classic Scandinavian-style Viking metal, completing their image by dressing the part and wielding swords on stage. The band released their album Only the Brave Return during 2008, a concept piece based on a book also written by the band members. The band played at Against the Grain in 2009 shortly after the release of their folk-metal oriented EP, "Ale Tales". Early in 2010, Oscarius of Dyscord joined the band ahead of a national tour with Alestorm. The second full-length album Triumph and Beyond was released in December 2010, with Pathogen's Glenn Dyson joining the band around the same time. Claim the Throne toured nationally with Finntroll in early 2011 and will headline their our tour from August that will include appearances at Bastardfest.
Frontman Capriotti also plays guitar with Red Descending.
