White Widdow is a melodic hard rock band formed in early 2008 by guitarist Enzo Almanzi from Van Halen tribute band X-Halen with vocalist Julez Mephisto and bassist Trixxi Trash from The Deadthings. The line up was completed with two time Aria nominee Xavier Mephisto (Weapon X) on keyboards and drummer Nick Caligula, also from The Deadthings. White Widdow play a melodic, arena style of hard rock recalling the spirit of Scandinavian AOR bands such as Treat, that fuses classic keyboard driven AOR with the pop-metal edge of artists such as Danger Danger.
White Widdow launched themselves onto Melbourne's live scene in May 2008 at St Kilda's Esplanade Hotel and have played steadily since alongside bands such as LORD, The Deadthings, Catwitch, Spitfire Rain, Teargas and Nobody's Fool among others. A debut EP is expected in July 2009.
