Band information
Featuring members of Insidious Torture and A Million Dead Birds Laughing, Whoretopsy is a Melbourne band formed in 2011 by AJ and Matt Storma. Originally a blast band, They Did Unspeakable Things was recorded using a drum machine but Matt Giles joined soon after. They opened for Dying Fetus and Putrid Pile in May 2013. Following that, Jake Sproule of The Seraphim Veil joined as the band's drummer and AJ departed, leaving Whoretopsy as a four piece until the following year when Chris Paras and Brenton Marsh (also of The Seraphim Veil) were added to the line-up. By now too Whoretopsy had moved away from the blast style, becoming a slightly more technical, thrashy death metal band. After the "While You Were Sleeping" EP the line-up changed further with Ryan Frost replacing Lachlan Eddy, who has since joined Hadal Maw, and William Cooper taking over from Brenton Marsh.
