Band information
Ouroboros is Sydney a death metal band originally formed under the name Dred, under which they released an EP and played on the Summer Slaughter tour. During the first half of 2011, Ouroboros toured Australia with The Amenta and Ruins and completed work on their debut album, Glorification of a Myth. After appearing with Morbid Angel in Sydney in late May, the band embarked on a national tour in support of the album. The band parted ways with guitarist Mikhail Okrugin in early 2012 and Barry Feeney (ex-Aeon of Horus joined in his place. In April 2013 they appeared at the Hammersonic Metal Festival in Jakarta and began work on a second album. Feeney left Ouroboros in 2013 and was not replaced. Emanations featured a more symphonic approach with contributions from the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and guests Cain Cressal from The Amenta and guitarist James Norbert Ivanyi.
