Aeon of Horus was a technical and progressive death metal band from Canberra. The group was formed in 2006 with Andy Annand coming from [[Darkim]] and [[Templestowe]] and Barry Feeney and Ben Hocking formerly of the death-grind band [[Shigella]]. An EP surfaced in mid-2007.

In November 2008 the album ''The Embodiment of Darkness and Light'' was released and in December the band supported [[Psycroptic]] on part of a national tour. Aeon of Horus opened for '''Satyricon''' in Melbourne in March 2009. After appearing at Progfest shows in Sydney and Canberra during May, it was announced in July than Barry Feeney had departed. He joined [[Ouroboros]] in 2012. The band announced former [[Templestowe]] guitarist Pete Meere as Feeney's replacement in September 2010; Scott Carter replaced Chris Pratt at the same time. During 2011, the band released the ''Exile'' EP that featured re-worked tracks from the previous album as a preface to a new album mooted for 2012. In the meantime, Hocking was recruited into [[The Levitation Hex]]. The band appeared at [[Bastardfest]] in Canberra late in 2012; in October 2013 they toured nationally with [[The Schoenberg Automaton]] and [[A Million Dead Birds Laughing]]. After releasing ''Existence'' in 2014, the band split.
