Desecrator is a Melbourne thrash band, formed in 2008 by Riley Strong. After an initial demo, Luke Anticevic was added as second guitarist and the band released ''Live til Death'' in 2011, a recording from a show at the Arthouse in Melbourne. The band's next recording was a 4-track vinyl EP featuring new guitarist Scott Anning. [[Netherealm]] drummer Jared Roberts and former '''Catwitch''' and [[The Eternal]] bassist Paul Tipping joined the band soon after. With a heavy focus on live touring both locally and overseas, Desecrator's first studio album finally emerged in March 2017, with Tipping now replaced by Roberts' former '''Netherealm''' bandmate Gerad Biersboer.
