The Soundwave Festival showcased alternative and metal bands from overseas, but generally a token local act from each state appeared early in the program. In 2013, The Amity Affliction, Confession and Northlane all toured nationally with the festival. In 2014, the local roster was expanded to include I Killed the Prom Queen, Thy Art is Murder, Darkc3ll, In Hearts Wake and Dream on, Dreamer.
