Band information
Ouroboros is Sydney a death metal band originally formed under the name Dred, under which they released an EP and played on the Summer Slaughter tour. They won three Australian Metal Awards in November 2009 for Best Bassist, Best Drummer and Best Unsigned Band. During the first half of 2011, Ouroboros toured Australia with The Amenta and Ruins and completed work on their debut album, Glorification of a Myth. After appearing with Morbid Angel in Sydney in late May, the band embarked on a national tour in support of the album. The band parted ways with guitarist Mikhail Okrugin in early 2012 and Barry Feeney (ex-Aeon of Horus joined in his place. Since then Ouroboros has been concentrating on a second album.
