History

Steel Assassins is a two-day Sydney metal festival established in 2012 by Metal Evilution with a focus on thrash, power and pure metal. It was originally held at the Sandringham Hotel but moved to the Bald Faced Stag the following year when the original venue closed. Italian band Megahera was the featured international in 2012 and in 2013 the line-up included Razorwyre from NZ and US act Widow. Since 2014 the festival has featured bands from New Zealand.
